Lamplighter were the best band in Alaska, and then they were gone. It was an intense flash in the pan, just like their songs -- visceral grindcore/hardcore that's brimming with disdain, but colored with anxiety. Trepanation is the Anchorage band's pissed-off swansong and an example of a band going out at the absolute peak of their powers.
